SIZE: 6 inches high Introduced in 2001 * Retired in 2002 Stock Number: #53216 DeBrekht introduced a grouping ofRussian Bears in the Fairy Tale Village Ornament Series in 2001, and this Honey Bear was in that first group. Since then the DeBrekht items have become very popular, but these early ornaments are difficult to find. This ornament features a cute bear with a keg of honey sitting atop a clock. Few animals are as synonymous with Russia as the bear, and rather than being feared, the bear is often portrayed in stories as mild-mannered and helpful. This Honey Bear Ornament is personally hand-signed on the bottom by Andrej Gabricht, designer and owner of the DeBrekht company. This ornament is number 22 out of 1200 pieces made, and the number is found on the bottom, along with the small silver disc that comes with the ornament. This ornament is in perfect condition, from store inventory, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The box that the ornament comes in shows some shelf wear, but is in fair to good condition. Since it is rare to find DeBrekht pieces signed by the Designer, Andrej Gabricht, we think this ornament is a terrific value for any collection. Derevo Series G.
