\"Desert Caravan\" Dept. 56 Little Town Of Bethlehem set of 5, Item #59914. Introduced 2001 and retired 2005. The three large camels measure 4\" long x 3\" high. Man figure measures 3\" high. Also comes with a rolled up, scroll type paper depicting historical maps and scenes from The Holy Land.

Caravans were the mainstay of trade and travel throughout biblical times and the camel was essential. Dubbed \"ships of the desert\", camels could carry heavy cargo through the harsh Environment a week or more without food or water.

Mint condition pieces in original box & sleeve. Very, very light shelf wear to box. This set looks as though it was never used. I am listing it as \"used\" because it came from an Estate Sale and I don\'t know its history.
