Introduced in 1984, The Dickens\' Village Series portrays the bustling, hearty, and joyous atmosphere of the holidays in Victorian England. Many pieces in this series were inspired by best loved Dickens\' novels, including Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickeby, David Copperfield, and the favorite among collectors- A Christmas Carol.

- Dept.56 \"White Horse Bakery\" - Dickens Village Item #5926-9 introduced 1988 and retired 1993. 1 of the 5-piece set - Merchant Shops. Two large windows to display baked goods, roof is hipped and gabled with scalloped shingles.
This piece is in absolutely mint condition! It comes with original box and sleeves. You will receive the same piece as pictured. We never use stock pictures. Amidst the jovial banter and magical memories, the idea for a lighted Christmas village was born. That spark of an idea became a reality when, in 1976, Department 56 introduced a series of six hand-painted, ceramic buildings. The rest is history.
