Hi, I make custom display platforms that fit the scale for Dept 56 and Lemax villages. If you are like me, you have a lot of money invested in your collections. I just ran out of room and started making these display platforms to save room. My experience is in design drafting and acrylic art. I started my small venture going on 9 years now and am still working to create one of a kind platforms that compliment the villages. My drive is in the designing end of this, I just love to see new scenes. So stop piling up those books and try displaying your cute village on one of my custom platforms. Salty Dog isa beautiful seaside design! It features a boardwalk, pier, rock walls, lots of water area. When I was designing this I had New England in mind. It also would look great with just about any village. The Dept 56 Carnival and theHalloween rides would look fantastic on it! I am showing it with a variety of different Dept 56buildings to show you the scale.

What l like about this display platform is the amount of space to show off your figurines! They can be walking along the boardwalk or riding a bike or fishing off the pier! When all the buildings are lit up it looks so neat reflecting off the ocean. You can almost smell the salty air.

Salty Dog holds many Mr. Christmas rides! You can create a beautiful ocean boardwalk look. I use it for my collection of Mr. Christmas! The last picture shows part of my collection with the rides.

I build all of my platforms with styrofoam, water based paint, water based glue, real wood, real pebbles. Resin for the wet look. The platform sits on 2\" wide cut legs. This 2\" area under the platform is a great place for your adapters and wires!

I make all of my larger platforms in sections. Salty Dog is made with 3 sections that easily fit together. I make them in sections so you can easily store it.

The water area is done with many colors of blues and greens. The right and left sections are the same dimensions, so I will give you the measurements of just one. The water is approximately 3 1/4\" X 23\". The middle sections are approximately 6 1/2\" wide X 23\". I have drilled 3 holes that are 1\" for your wires to drop down. (This is the 2\" area described above). The upper sections are approximately 9\" X 14 1/2\" - this areais large enough for 2 buildings or 1 large building. This area also includes 2 wooden stairs that I have boxed in for a neat look. Walls are done in tiny rocks matching the breakwater rocks below. The walls all have wall caps.

Salty Dog features a very long boardwalk. Itmeasures 3\" wide. I used wood and tinted it a very light brown. It winds all the way across the entire display and continues up from the pier. I have used a small black chain for the rail. The posts arepainted black on the tips.

I used tiny multi coloredrocks for all of the walls and the breakwater area.

The green sod is done with Scene Master.

The middle section has the pier. The pier measures 5 1/2\" X 3 3/4\". I have installed pylons holding up the pier and thentie them with jute. Going straight up from the pier is where the boardwalkcontinues. This is a great place for more buildings. The water area in this middle section is approximately 10\" X 15\" and 3\" on the sides.

The Dept 56 buildings and accessories are not included in this sale.

Included are 5 tiny sea gulls. I am sending them in a baggie so you can place them where you want them.

Footprint of all 3 sections is: 23\" X 69\" X 7 1/4\"
