My asking price issolelybased on similar, top condition Dirk Van Erp lamps that have sold, then halving the price as a rough guide.

Upfor sale is a Dirk Van Erp copper lamp base. Made in the SanFrancisco Bay Area and of vintage production. This is a 3-arm base intended tomate with 18” diameter, 3-mica-panel, conical lampshade. It appears mostlycomplete.Condition is good, considering age. Patina is good, but there are some stains present. There are some dings, but nopunctures, addedholes or modifications I can see.

Thispiecestands ~20” tall. The bottom portion (up tothe shade arms) is ~13 1/2” tall. The upper neck is ~6 1/2” tall. Base has adiameter of 7 5/8”.

Thispiecehas the Dirk Van Erp windmill“open-box San Francisco”embossed emblem. This places it after ~1915, up to the late 1920’s most likely.

There are some imperfectionsto the lamp base-

Oneof the three lamp sockets is missing.
Icount at least 3-4 small dings & 3 moderate dings on the lower portion of thebase.
Thereare 2 moderate dings on the neck, just below the 3-lamp socket mounting dish.
Oneof the 3 lampshade arms is bent.

I also have a bit of the original (I assume) lampcord. This might help date the piece.
