DOMINICK & HAFF QUEEN ANNE STERLING 4 PIECE TEA SET LATE 19TH EARLY 20TH CENTURY:
$5499.00

This is for a beautiful Queen Anne 4 piece tea set made by Dominick & Haff who stopped production as they were bought out in 1928. So you know these are old. Not to mention the engraved date on the bottom is 1912. There are a few dents and dings on a couple of the pieces but that is to be expected from items that are over 100 years old. One side of the set seems to be engraved however the scripting is so fluid it looks more like decoration than engraving the other side is no monogram so could be monogramed if you wish it to be for you. Please use the zoom feature to look at the pictures ofthis set and see how amazing it is. It has a coffee pot, a tea pot, a creamer and a sugar bowl. I only washed these with dish soap and a soft soft sponge I have not polished them and you most likely wouldwant to in order to get the smoothest shine but I am always afraid I will etch one if I shine shine it so I don\'t shine most of my listings. By the way the pattern number for this should be 1498/67, 1910

a brief history of Dominick and Haff

Dominick & Haff Silver is a high-end silverware manufacturing company that was based and operated in New York from 1868 till 1928, when they merged with Reed and Barton of Taunton, Massachusetts. Founded by Henry Blanchard Dominick and Leroy Haff in 1868, their early silver productions were mainly centered on vinaigrette pieces. They later began to manufacture a vast array of fine quality sterling silver flatware and hollowware pieces that they are widely known for in this modern day. Their pieces ranged from various types of forks, knives, spoons, tea caddies, toothpick holders, and serving platters, and most of the designs on their flatware were named after famous men, kings and queens from around the world.

Design names such as the Queen Anne; Alexander; Charles II; Century; Colonial Antique; Cupid; Labors of Cupid; Grape; King; La Salle Chased; Louis XIV; Marie Antoinette; Martha Washington; The Rococo; Virginia, and Renaissance, to name a few, are what their pieces offer. The flatware design called Charles II was named for the king who ruled England, Scotland and Ireland in 1649. This design was created by Gilbert Crowell Jr. in 1894 and has exquisite patterns on the handle. From the cocktail fork, to the nut spoon, to the pie server, every dining flatware imaginable can be found in this design.

Again please use the photos and the zoom feature to see how amazing these are for the age. As always I will ship with a tracking number. these are ina fairly good sized box to ship in in order to protect them with enough bubble wrap to feel safe and they do have a bit of weight to them the tea pot alone is 21.35 troy ounces so shipping is a little bit on them.

Any questions please ask me before you buy. Any international shipping is done though s service.
