Walt Disney\'s DONALD DUCK FINDS PIRATE GOLD -- FOUR COLOR #9 -- 1942
First Carl Barks Duck artwork, etc (I\'m sure you all know the story). I\'ve had this comic a looong time. It\'s in poor but readable condition and nearly complete. The front cover is missing, and a portion of the back cover is barely there and crumbling. The first page lower-half is missing. Surprisingly, the pages get better as you proceed. Then at roughly the center, the pages came loose and the border crumbling results. Once again, the pages improve to the ending. There is plenty of spine-roll, cracks, brown borders and chips, but also some very well-preserved and fairly white pages and panels. Check the photos carefully (I\'ll send more if needed).
I\'m hoping that someone out there can salvage the good parts of this book to complete or \"help\" another one like it. I\'ll include the Gladstone copy as well (it\'s in mint condition) for a guide. I\'ll also be listing some other rare Barks Duck stories as time permits.
