Asuperb French Art Nouveau pottery vase.
With its elements ofstyle - typical for this period - it is a truewitness of time. Its extraordinary shape reminds the viewer of designsof Peter Behrens or Henry van de Velde. At the largest circumferenceand at the neck the surface is accentuated by a relief pattern ofconcentric circles contrasting with the even parts. The vase iscovered with a silky black luster glaze with irregular spots of runningglazein green and blue.

Manufacturer: FaïencerieDeBruyn Fives / Lille / France.
This company was established in 1870 and became famous in the ArtNouveau era because of its majolica respectively so called Barbotinesof very high quality. Marks: Fully marked at thebottom with the incised firm stamp (letters \"D\" and\"B\" with an anchor), the production number 5283 and \"MADE IN FRANCE\". Material: Ceramics Measurements(approx.): Height:ca. 4.72\" (12 cm).
Max. diameter: ca.5.70 \" (14,5 cm). Weight: ca.430 g Condition: Thevase is in excellent condition with minimal traces of use. Pleasenote: Picturesof the items are part of the detailed description which has been madeto the best of our knowledge and belief.
Slight colour deviations are possible, depending on photographictechiques or different screen settings.
