RICHARD KLEMM, DRESDEN, ca.1869-1900 (Blue crowned “RK” Older mark)

Fine Arts Rococo-styled porcelain with early Dresden markings.The urn has two elegantly tapered and graceful arms raised to join at the top of the art piece.Main colors – green and gold - 2-sided – the beautifully done gilding is raised and heavy.
The exquisitely detailed, hand-painted figures are in 18th century clothing on a richly gilded, forest-green background.The rare styling on the urn is further enhanced with raised gold highlights in the form of ribbons, garlands and beading.
Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or restorations, a small mark on lower side and minor, normal shelf-wear.
Height and circumference: 7 inches tall / 11 inches at widest diameter (including arms base)

Karl Richard Klemm Studios, one of the original four Dresden porcelain makers, was one of the most sought-after porcelain studios of the time. It was located in Striesen bei Dresden and founded in 1869.
Richard Klemm registered his mark, the Klemm Dresden Crown, in the RWZR (Reichs-Warenzeichenregister), the central office for registering of all porcelain trade names and marks under Design number 24.
