sale is for a civil war Excavated Jeff Davis eagle hat pin. This hat pin has a good dug patina and no attachment hooks left. This is a special plate due to the fact that the soldier cut all the outer part out leaving just the eagle. One of the wings was bent but not broken. Super personal piece. Usually found in confederate camp sites due to the fact that us soldiers were not allowed to deface or destroy any items provided by the government.
