Up for sale is a Dunkirk vintage sterling Coffee & Tea set w/ non-Dunkirk tray.
This beautiful set was made by Dunkirk, of Meridian Connecticut. Made in the late 1940\'s this hand chased set has an intricate floral pattern on all items with insulators on the handles. Each piece except the Tray is marked sterling.This set was owned by Dr. Windsor Davies of Grosse Pointe Michigan. He was a prominent ophthalmologist from 1916-1988. He was credited with saving old man Kresge\'s eye-site of Kresege department store which later became K-Mart! He is a huge reason for the formation of the Kresege eye institute. There are no initials inscribed on this set. The set is in fantastic condition and priced below market value. Enjoy the style and wealth of a bygone era at a fraction of the cost.The Dunkirk Sterling set consists of:

Coffeepot with hinged lid- 11 1/2\" Tall
Compote- 4\" Tall
Covered Sugar - 7\" Tall
Creamer- 6\" TallThe Serving TrayThe Tray is not Dunkirk and is not stamped Sterling. The Hallmarks on the tray are: A crown, two crossed keys and a horse head? (See picture, all tray pictures are towards the end) we do not have any other information on the tray.
