Many thanks for your courtesy in meeting Mrs. Eisenhower and myself, on behalf of General Bryan, on our arrival at Stewart Air Force Base.

As you can well realize, this visit has been a truly inspiring - and most pleasant - experience for both of us. It is gratifying indeed to see the splendid condition of the Military Academy.

Eisenhower adds \"With warm regard\" in his one hand as well as crossing out \"Professor\" in the salutation. Any words in Ike\'s hand AS PRESIDENT are highly uncommon.

President Eisenhower left the White House on June 5, 1955 to head to West Point. He had a full day of scheduled activities on June 6, starting the day with a visit to the U.S. Military Academy Museum. On June 7, the President attended the West Point graduation where he gave an address to the graduates.
