Edward Howard, undoubtedly one of the most respected names in the history of American horology, started the Howard Watch Company after the failure of the Boston Watch Company (1853-1857). His goal was to produce watches of the highest quality, in which he succeed, and these watches are highly sought after by collectors!

We are very pleased to offer this absolutely stunning E. Howard Series VIII pocket watch— with its original 14k SOLID GOLD case! See more info below.

This stunning watch features a white dial with elegant Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial. The dial is signed“E. HOWARD & CO. BOSTON”.

It is running strong on its E. Howard“N” size (approximately 18 size) Series VIII nickel movement, made in Boston. Its serial number is 305993.It is running strong and keeping good time, though we cannot guarantee quartz accuracy for antique watches.

The movement is housed in a stunning 14k SOLID GOLD E. H. & Co. case, which is the original case to the watch!! The reverse of the case has beautiful engraved initials! It measures approximately 54mm in diameter and is in fantastic, investment grade condition with tight hinges and bow!! The total weight of the watch is approximately 153 grams.

There are light scratches and wear on the case, as is to be expected with a watch of this age, and light scratches on the crystal. Please view the photos for additional details. Black reflections are from the camera lens and are NOT on the actual watch.
