Schmidt\'s Standard Stradivarius - Full size in great condition!This instrument is an especially beautiful and rare German masterpiece from the early 1920\'s. It was made in Markneukirchen by Ernst Reinhold Schmidt (1857-1928). The violin bears abrand-stampof his initials, E.R.S. inside on the back plate.Schmidt received gold medals at Vienna and Leipzig in 1892 and 1913 for his \"Schmidt\'s Standard.\" The fine quality woods are medium-grained spruce for the top and flamed maple for the back. The instrument is well preserved and in immediate playing condition. (Will need new strings.) The violin\'s bright ringing sound is of excellent power, warmth, clarity and maturity.
It has been safely tucked away, waiting for theright person to appreciate and delight in bringing the voice of this beautifulinstrument to life.
Includes bow and case.
