MANN
A very attractive antler handled riding crop probably for a lady and estimated to have been made during the earlier part of the last century. The carved antler handle sports a neat monogram ‘P.M’ and the stitched leather bound shaft is impressed with either the retailer’s or the maker’s mark ‘MANN’ . The ferrule, which looks to have been silver plated is marked with ‘Steel Lined’ in script.
It is in good used ‘as found’ condition as can be seen in the images. There is some cracking to the leather keeper caused by the leather drying out. It is still usable although it could be repaired or replaced easily enough. There are some dints to the ferrule. These factors are specifically mentioned as they may not be so easily discerned on a smaller screen.
Displays well.
- Makers marks: ‘MANN’ to the leather
- ‘Steel Lined’ to the in total
