Edwardian Solid Silver Old English Pattern Sugar Tongs HM London 1909 (s/c 3009)If purchasing or offerding on more than one item, please contact me for a combined invoicebefore paying for your items.This is an Edwardian solid silver sugar tongs by Wakely & Wheeler of Hatton Garden, London,hallmarked for London 1909The tongs are in the old English pattern.The tongs have oval shaped bowls and are not monogrammed.The ITEM is fully hallmarked:& over WW (makers mark)Date letter o for 1909Leopard head for London assay officeLion passantActual hallmarks shown below.Size:104mm lengthCondition:No dents or bending to the tongs.There are a couple of small marks on one arm, shown below, also some small, minor marksto the interior of one bowl.There are some minor surface marks elsewhereand minortiny scratches andtiny dinksto the edges in places, these are consistent with age and use.Weight:Weight of item without packaging 18.2gItem will be well packed for dispatch.I do try to keep postal costs to a minimum, but packaging materials i.e bubble wrap,
boxes, jiffy bags etc, are not cheap to obtain. Packaging materials are only charged
