- DESIGN: A very early and decorative Victorian Industrial Brass Articulating shop/reading table Lamp with pleated Milk glass shade circa 1890. The lamp articulates up and down as well as fore & aft from the heavily weighted base via the thumb screw adjusting crossbar joint. Wavy translucent Milk Glass pleated shade is held in place with early fitter bearing a patent date of Sept 28, 1890. Manufactured completely of solid Brass throughout aside from the inner cast iron weighted base, all very well engineered and machined.
- CONDITION: This tall & impressive lamp is in exceptional original condition, completely intact andfully functional. Very light finish wear and faint tarnish patina with no damage or repair issues. Original paddle socket has been inspected and appears clean and safe, the power cord has been replaced with braided cotton wrapped insulated wire. The wavy translucent pleated Milk glass shade is very clean with faint normal molding imperfections and a few tiny edge chips around the fitter rim which is completely hidden when positioned.
- DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimensions are 26\" tall to the top of the finial with an overall width of 17\", the shade is 8\" in diameter…filament bulb is NOT included.
