An antique and very elegant Fraureuth decorative art porcelain footed Vase, in modified ancient Chinese flat flask shape, Factory First quality, approximately 7-3/4 ins. (19,7 cm) H x 6-3/4 ins. (17 cm) max. W. Marks: Fraureuth green stamped mark over a faint, colorless, stamped circular mark of 1914-1918.This beautiful piece has a slightly raised reserve on both front and reverse, each with an exquisite hand-painted floral bouquet, within a gilt surround; gilt bands and lacy trim on neck and foot.Fraureuth, founded 1865, closed 1923, was one of the largest porcelain factories in Germany and a very important one. Their works were of the highest possible quality, expertly hand painted, and today are still noted for their artistic originality, all of which are found in this elegant example.CONDITION -- There is a very small pinhole though the gilt band at the bottom, on one side of the foot (see photos; one is very much enlarged). Condition is otherwise EXCELLENT - Clean and fine. NO cracks, crazing, hairlines, or stains. Examined under magnification and ultra-violet (\"black light\").
