1950\'s English sterling silver British hall marks coffee spoon set by Travis, Wilson & Co. Ltd.. Assayed at the Birmingham office in 1959. The set consists of 6 coffee spoons and the original fitted case. This set was manufactured to clebrate the British hall mark. Each spoon is struck with 1 of the 6 city marks in Britain, that used the Lion for England and The Thistle for Scotland. London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Chester, Endinburgh, and Glasgow. In this original case of 6 you have a complete record of the marks used by the only British cities, where silver could be assayed in 1959. All are unpolished, although each is in excellent condition with no damage or repair. Each spoon has an unembelished surface with silver marks struck on the reverse of each handle. Unfortunately reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of our items.
