THIS IS AN ERNST WAHLISS DEPOSE ART NOUVEAU WOMAN MAIDEN IN FLOWING DRESS CERAMIC CANDLESTICK, c 1897-1905, THAT HAS BEEN CONVERTED INTO A LAMP, AUSTRIA. She is matte white, with green flora that has hints of gold highlights. It is missing the branch / arm piece that would have fit into the back to hold additional candles. The bud flower on top of her head has had a piece fitted into it to convert it into an electric lamp (fabric wrapped cord was dry rotted, so has been cut off). The hand in front is missing the tips of two fingers. The large flower petal above her head in the back has been broken, and so poorly repaired that it is just barely hanging on. There are also tiny spots along the edges here and there that are rough and/or rubbed. The bottom is incised \"5\" above \"4775\" above \"MADE IN AUSTRIA\". Then it is stamped in grey/black \"DEPOSE\" above a crown with the letters \"EW\". She stands 13 3/4\" high, by 4 1/2\" wide at the base. Please take a moment to review the photos.
