This Passover Haggada is quite unique in 2 ways. One is the various connections made between the Exodus and driving safely and two the fact that the cover is that of \"you know who\" and the Nativity scene!
As this haggada was published by the Israeli govt to prevent car accidents some time in the early 1990s, I decided to contact the office about the haggada. I asked the executive, \"did you know that the cover of this Hagadah contains the Nativity scene?\". The guy had no idea about what I was talking about! Evidently, the local printer put a nice design that fit the Passover story aka A nice Jewish family with I guess a star of bethlehem and some halo\'s looked nice so why not!? The rest is history.
This hagadah contains 52 sides, some staining. Many of the pages contain helpful hints in driving safely. These hints are tied into the traditional text of the haggada. Just to give you an example, the Haggada verse states, \"I and not a messenger (referring to G-d)\". There\'s a helpful hint stating the following: \" Motorcycle messengers race between cars at great speeds and get to the head of the traffic line at the traffic light. In their reckless behaviour they endanger themselves and others on the roads! Messenger, be careful!...\".
This has got to be one of the most unusual, irreverent as well as stupid haggadot ever printed!
