I have acquired a collection of 222K and 221 Featherweights which I am listing over a period of a few weeks.

This 222K has been very well looked after. The decals are complete and a deep golden color. The finish is bright and shiny.

This 222K Featherweight is one that by all appearances was used for a very short time and then placed in a closet for decades. It is in very good condition.

When buying a 222K Featherweight make sure that the chromed retaining thumb screw that holds the removable sewing bed in place is not missing. It often is missing. The thumb screw can be seen in the above photograph by the \"222K\" plate.

I specialize in Singer model 222K Featherweight sewing machines. I offer for sale top quality 222K Featherweights, such as this machine, as well as difficult to find attachments and accessories for Featherweights.

In many of the photographs light is reflected from the edges of the machine. There is not any paint missing from the edges. It is reflected light.

The serial number of this Featherweight is EJ908752 which dates this machine to September 10, 1954.

It is hard to believe that this 222K Featherweight is just about 60 years old.

All of the Featherweights that I sell have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, lubricated and tested. The testing consists of the machine going through a final 9 point checklist before being listed. The checklist is given at the very end of the listing description.

There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.

The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.

The sewing machine is ready to just plug in and play.

This beautiful 222K Featherweight sewing machine runs smoothly and sews a nice stitch. It is an absolutely wonderful machine.

The lever to the left of the stitch length lever in the photograph above lowers and raises the feed dogs. It is the \"Sew/Darn\" lever.

The chromed sew/darn lever plate is original. All EJ serial numbered and early EK serial numbered had a chrome sew/darn plate. Later EK and all other serial numbered 222K Featherweights had sew/darn plates that matched the stitch length indicator plate.

This sewing machine is a very nice 222K Featherweight. No adapter is needed when this machine is used in the USA and Canada.

Many consider the 222K Featherweight to be the ultimate in Singer sewing machine design and engineering. This is a wonderful example of the marvelous Singer Featherweight freearm sewing machine.

You will probably be buying only one 222K Featherweight: here is a machine to consider. Buying a Singer 222K Featherweight freearm sewing machine is a big investment so you should consider buying your machine from a proven Premier seller of 222K Featherweights.

This 222K Featherweight is as nice as it looks.

The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.

The bobbin case is in place.

There are five new rubber bed cushions on the underside of the sewing machine replacing the rock hard 50+ year old rubber ones.

This 222K Featherweight is a very lovely machine. The black finish is in good condition and has retained its bright and shiny look as can be seen in the photographs.

All 222K Featherweights have graduated throat plates.

This Featherweight is a very nice 222K sewing machine that anyone would be proud to own.

The Singer Canadian motor is the correct motor for 222K machines sold in North America. 222K Featherweights were sold in Canada but were never sold in the USA.

Original 222K Featherweights sold in North America have Canadian made motors installed. (There are a few British made 110 volt motors found on 222K Featherweights but they are very rare.) Singer motors made in the USA were never original parts on any 222K Featherweight.

The case is in very good condition. Both latches work. The cloth hinge inside the case has been attachments and accessories shown in the photographs below are included.

A copy of our book \"222K The Ultimate Featherweight\", a copy of our Featherweight book \"Fabulous Featherweights\" and an excellent reproduction of the 222K manual are included. The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine. It has been serviced and tested so that you can quilt, sew or proudly display the Featherweight upon its arrival.
