DETAILS: This wonderfulitem is overall inEXCELLENT condition! So beautiful. No damage just extremely light wear from over the years.
What a lovelypiece of Native American pottery to add to your collections! PICTURES DON\'T GIVE JUSTICE! Acquired from a local estate. GORGEOUS! Bottom is signed saying PINE RIDGE E COX SIOUX INDIAN. This Pine Ridge marking is EXACT to others that date to 1930s, but couldn\'t date this. Found other listing that said Ella Woody was later known as Ella Cox then Ella Irving & she was one of the original founding \"three sisters\" of Pine Ridge Pottery, which began as a WPA project on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Amazing! Beautiful collectible!
Ella Irving, Bernice Talbot and Olive Cottierpottery and designs can be found all over the world today in private collections and museum exhibits. The Pine Ridge Arts and Crafts shop where the sisters made their pottery was located in Pine Ridge, SD
