DESCRIPTION : An exceptional and very rare 17th / 18th centuryKangxi period antique Chinese famille-verte double-spouts porcelain teapot and cover, the small size vessel with an upright handle and a spout to each side, the lobed body finelydecorated allover with flowering branches enameled in green, iron-red and yellow, inside the potwith an unusual feature of a divisionpanel separating theinterior into two-halveswhere each side leading toa pouring spoutthus acting as a double teapot serving two different types of liquid, the originalcoversimilarly decorated with a lotus bud finial, base of the teapot glazed white and has a remains of an old paper label of a\'Antique Dealers Association\'. There is also an old paper note enclosed specified the teapotwas \'From the collection of Lady Ashburnham\' and dating it to the K\'ang Hsi (Kangxi) 1662 - 1722 A.D.

DIMENSION : approximately6 1/8\" (15.5 cm)high to the top of handle; about 5 1/2\" (14 cm) across spouts.
CONDITION : teapot ingood overall condition; minor wear to decoration; chip to the tip of one spout; a fine hairline around the mid-section of thesecond spout;a few small and very faint superficial glaze hairlines to each of the area where the spouts joining the body; the cover with minor enamel wear and tiny fritting around the inside rim only. No other damage orrepair noted.
