Description -Splendid good thick gauge solid silver and guilloche enamel cigarette case with hinged lid, push button clasp and thumb piece.
he lid has wonderful guillocheenameling and with a lovely hand painted country scene of a lake with trees, bushes a path and hills and fields in thebackground.
The interior has a nice rich silver-gilt (Gold wash) and also has its original retention strap.
The cigarette case is hallmarkedwith the London import stamp indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, \"925\" stamped, the date letter \"k\" for the year 1923 and the importers mark \"A J\", the lid is also hallmarked.
Condition -The case is in very condition, there are no dents, dinks, dints, splits, holes or repairs to the silver.
There is no wear or rubbing to the engine turned decoration which is crisp and clear.
The enamel is also in very good order with no with no chips, cracks,discolorationorvisiblescratches and with a nice gloss finish.
To mention there is a slight nick on the bottom left side, hinge and clasp are in perfect working order clicking the case shut nice and tightly, the interior silver-gilt is nice and bright, no wear or discoloration and with a good sheen.
Dimensions & Weight -The case is 8.3cm long x 6.3cm wide, the gross weight is 95.6 grams.
