Description

21” tall Momma Chick is taking her baby chick for a nice walk through the meadow. All the new babies are being born with the earth awakening.

Momma wears a golden mustard colored dress with white polka dots. I added some vintage floral trim along the sleeve edges.

She also wears bloomers made from a black/white checked gingham style fabric and also used this fabric to make the top part of her apron.

The bottom portion of her apron has a needlepunched scene with two chicks breaking out of their shells. I also punched “Spring Chicks” above it. I then added some vintage mustard colored crochet lace to the hem of the apron. Apron ties around the back.

Momma has a painted body with very detailed feet! Check out those feet!! Do they look real or not??

She has a separately stitched on beak and hand drawn on green eyes using artist’s colored pencils.

Momma’s babushka (scarf) was made from muslin and is tied into a knot on the side.
