offered for sale is this extremely fine and rare tudric art nouveau pewter charger ,made during the secessionist jugenstil period of the early 1900\'s and easily recognisable as coming from the portfolio of designs by archibald knox,these designs formed the basis for the tudric & cymric ranges of art nouveau pewter & silver ware retailed by liberty & co,itis in a professionaly polished condition and the tray has a mirror like finish as it had when first made over 100 years ago with absolutely no loss of definition to the wonderful hand raised stylised tulip design,fully marked tudric 117 it is clearly one of the pieces made in the workshop in regents street where clients would be taken to watch the skilled artisan forming these pieces,with no discernible damage or repair,it measures 15.5\" so a fine large and impressive piece its size and weight are reflected in the shipping costs, thispiece iscirca 1902/3 so one of the earlier group of designs for the tudric range,overall condition should be considered as superb and a wonderful piece of arts and crafts work.it is well over100 years old so may have minor signs of age & usage expected of a hand finished piece of this era.
