A NICE EARLY 18TH CENTURY AMERICAN WROUGHT IRON STANDING TRIVET WITH AN ATTACHED TWISTED SHAFT UTENSIL HOLDER. American, 18th Century, C 1760-1780, IN THE VERY BEST OLD SURFACE AND PATINA.

NOT MANY OF THESE TRIVETS WERE MADE AND EVEN FEWER SURVIVED. IT IS VERY UNUSUAL TO FIND AN EXAMPLE WITH AN ATTACHED UTENSIL HOLDER. WE USUALLY ONLY SEE THE MORE COMMON TYPE WHICH DOES NOT HAVE THE ATTACHED UTENSIL HOLDER.

The surface is untouched and uncleaned.

Approximately 23 1/2\" long, with an 7 1/2\" pan and is 5 1/2\" tall.
