We are pleased to offer this extremely rare 18th/19th Century French christening blanket pouch. It is constructed of silk with elaborate gold threaded embroidery and lace fringe. It is further accented with genuine pearls. This piece was clearly made for someone of great importance, possibly royalty. It is in good condition for its age and materials. There are some splits in silk, and a few loose threads. This piece measures approximately 33” long X 19” wide.
