Drug from the depths of an attic of a Northwest estate, we offer this rare opportunity to own probably one of the finest vintage leather rod tubes or case known. I have had this tube for many years and have decided it\'s time to downsize.

This tube dates from the early 1900\'s and is probably somewhat near 100 years old.

Handcrafted by the W.H. McMonies & Co. of Portland Oregon.Trulyone of the finest harness makers of the era.

This particular tube was made for a wealthy cattleman of the era, as told to me by the previous owner. I was told that the \"Hamilton\" name written on the leather handle was the fellow that had ordered it from the factory.

This spectacular tube is highlighted by the intricate leather embossing as shown in the pictures. McMonies was known fortheir unusual embossing, including the snake pattern shown in the pics as well as their trademark buckles with the big eye on the latch.

Tube measures about 44 inches long and 2 3/4-3 inches wide @ the rod cap, meaning that\'s cap size and the tube is a little smaller. This is probably a single rod tube.

It is written on the grip, \"D A HAMILTON\" as well as a faint \"DAH Bakers Ore\" on the top end cap. I actually just noticed this as it is very faint as well as covered by the closure strap.

This is truly an amazing piece and would be the cornerstone for most fly-rod, fishing and creel collections. There will probably never be another like it, but it\'s time for me to let some of my hoard go and let someone enjoy it.
