Offered is a pair lovely early vintage Royal Doulton Character Toby mugs \"Don Quixote\" and his faithful servant \"Sancho Panca\" This early example dates to 1956. Don Quixote measures approximately 3 3/4\" tall in front by 3 1/2\" in back and 3 1/4\" handle to spout. Back on base is impressed Don Quixote. Perfect condition. Bottom is signed with Royal Doulton mark . Don Quixote,# B. 6460,Copr 1956,Doulton & Co Limited. Rd Nos 881509-35705-7600 and 333/56. Sancho Panca is approximately 3 3/4\" tall in front by 3\" in in back and 4 1/4 handle to spout. back has raised letters Sancho Panca. Bottom is signed with Royal Doulton mark. Sanco Panca - A servant to Don Quixote # D6461 Copr 1956 Doulton & Co Limited Rd Nos 881510-35706-7561 and 332/56. Also perfect. They are from a New York City living estate having been in storage.
