This is acool piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia. Produced in the early 1960\'s for AB Ahfeldt & Frank, this is a piece of Swedish MAD Magazine original cover art. Painted by the Swedish master Bengt Olof Wennerberg, or BOWEN, this art appeared on the back cover of several early 1960\'s issues of the Swedish MAD. BOWEN was the Swedish MAD\'s first cover artist, and his cover artwork has been borrowed by a host of other foreign MAD Magazine publishers, including those from the countries of Denmark, Germany, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Holland. He was also Swedish MAD\'s resident \"Mort Drucker\", and his dead-on caricatures also appeared in several issues of the magazine. As a photographic reference, I have added pictures of some other recognizable BOWEN / Swedish MAD covers, but these issues are not included in this sale. The art board on which this art is painted measures approx. 8 5/8\" by 11 5/8\", with an image size of 4 3/4\" by 8 1/4\". The issue of Swedish MAD that is pictured with the art, 1962 #6, is also included in this sale. This is avery cool and rare piece of foreign MAD Magazine memorabilia, so don\'t miss out!
