This listing is for a beautiful French double boudoir candle holder in sterling silver from the early 19th century. It measures 6 1/2 inches or 16.5 cm high, and is 6 1/2 inches wide across the base. It features four animal paw feet which support the oval plinth. The two candle holders have open work candle cups and an urn form hand at the center. It is marked on the base with the guarantee mark of a man\'s head which was used between 1819-1838, there is also a maker mark. There are also two other marks on the piece that are hard to make out. The silver work is in overall very good condition with only some age appropriate darkening. There is an old repair at the top of the finial on the center column decoration.
