Early 19th C. Antique Russian Silver Tea Strainer, St. Petersburg marks, 1835:
$145.00

style=\"text-decoration:none\" height=\"27px\" valign=\"middle\" face=\"arial\" beautiful example of antique Russian silver dating to the 1st half of the 19th century, a large tea strainer marked to St. Petersburg and stamped by assayer MikhailMikhailovich Karpinsky in 1835. Measures approx. 6 5/8 inches in length. Russian tea implements are highly collectible. Early antique examples like this from tsarist Russia are highly sought after and very hard to find. There are visible signs of a silver weld connecting the head of the strainer to the stem, though we do not know if this is an artifact from the original construction (which it appears to be) or from a later repair. From a fine estate collection of high-end silver we will be listing over the next several weeks. All sales are final; please ask all questions before offerding! Thank you for visiting and have a nice day!
