Antique Impressionist Landscape, Mystery American Artist - maybe New York (label on back). Quite possibly the upstate New York region of the Catskills (Mountains), where many early 20th Century NY artists would have their studios (as well as the Hudson Valley). The country road is surrounded by the forest as it leads to the mountains as a pleasantly clouded sky frame our scene. An original oil on canvas, we believe from the 1920\'s - 1930\'s. The patina on the stretcher and the frame are a great indicator of age, as well as the labeling (peeling) on back.What we believe is the original frame, a 1 3/4\" Gold stepped reverse moulding, is included in this listing.Canvas measures 20 X 24 and is in Very Good condition, taking its age into consideration - no chips or cracking.Outside measure of the frame is 23 X 27 and is in Good condition, a few blemishes but full of character.Please carefully examine all images for condition.
