1920s Luster Angel Carved Wood Chandelier Ergebirge Luesterweibchen Germany:

Condition: Very good condition. There is a small chip on the edge of one of the candle holders. Also, the part of the leave that inserts into the hand has been repaired; however, it doesn\'t really impact how the piece looks because it is mostly hidden. Please see pictures.
Measurements: Approximately 20 inches tall and 24 inches wide.
Details: This is an angel luster from the early part of the 20th century. It is a candle chandelier - not electrical. There are nine arms for holding candles. This item came from the Erzgebirge Region of Germany where they have a long tradition of woodcarvings. It is becoming more and more difficult to find these early pieces. The angel appears to be Gabriel blowing his horn. He has almost an Aztec style loin cloth and wonderful, subtle coloring to his face. The wings, horn and leaf all are notch-fitted and can be removed. A unique item and a great conversation piece.
