An early antique 1830’s dark green wool dress. The dress is all hand stitched. The bodice has a fan pleated front. The front yoke has a thin band with double rows of piping. The Gigot styles sleeves are pleated at the top and held in place with a band that has double piping. The neck, armscyes and waist are piped. The bodice has a front hook and eye closure and is lined with heavy burlap. The sleeve cuffs have tan piping. The skirt is unlined except for a band of cotton at the edge of the hemline. The dress has age related flaws. There are loose seams on the cuffs that will need minor re-stitching. There are several scattered small pea size moth holes, two period mends on the front of the bodice and one along the front closure and missing fabric under the arms. There is splitting on the lining in the bodice and on the lining on the lower edge of the skirt. (Please see photos.) The dress is for display only. Bust 32 Waist 24 Skirt length 37. PAYPAL ONLY.
