Unusual Early Art Deco John Wanamaker Petite Wood Tube Table Radio (Model F4 2460?)This is an unusual set. I could not find any information on it. The speaker is marked Model F4 2460 but, I am not sure that is the radio\'s model number. Clearly it is a very early set. I would say 1930\'s vintage. It has 6 tubes and is all original & untouched as far as I can see. The grill cloth is original and in good condition. The finish is original and has some wear and light scratches. The Bakelite knobs are original and perfect. There are the original brass plates behind the knobs and they are perfect but, have wear. It is of course an AM only radio. The cabinet is walnut with a distinctive Art Deco design; and is quite sturdy. The thermal wire is very old and dry so I did not plug it in. Since I did not test it I am selling it as not working.
This is a great display piece and even better if restored. Please review my photos as they are part of my description and feel free to ask questions.It is a wonderful radio measuring about 10 inches across x 5 1/2 inches deep and 8 inches tall.
