It is my understanding that these are bothhand painted plates.Limoges porcelains were often sent to the decorating studiowithin the factory, or exported to one of the professional decorating factoriesin the United States for an artist of the era to hand paint. Each artist specialized in a specific subject matter. Alsothere are many Limoges pieces that were decorated using the transfer wareprocess and then enhanced by an artist who later hand painted and filled in some ofthe decoration. Many pieces with transfer waredecoration were embellished with hand painted gold details on the edges, handles and feet.

Provenance:They werefrom my family\'s collection, and were displayed next to the finest ofMeissen, Rosenthal, and Limoges. They were always washed by hand and have been carefully stored for over 50 years.
