Gorgeous, original vintage Eames LAX fiberglass shell chair, Zenith / Herman Miller, early rope edge model with black metal x-base in elephant hide gray. Shell is in beautiful condition -- no stains, marks, chips, or cracks -- with a lustrous finish and lots of fiber/texture. Original hardware and shockmounts are solid. Traces/outline of square Herman Miller label are visible. Legs, just over 14\" high, are in good vintage condition, with surface scratches, scuffs/ wear (see detail photo of individual leg). No glides on feet. Overall a truly beautiful example of a rare style and color.
