EARLY FRENCH SOLID SILVER SNUFF COUNTER BOX c1780 ANTIQUE:

A super quality early French silver snuff or counter box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1780. It has been superbly designed being of circular form with zigzag boarders and has been engraved (Gage de L’amitie) French for Pledge of friendship. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is clean and the lid forms a good seal. It measures 1.5 inches (3.8cms) across by over 1 inch (2.8cms) and weighs 30 grams. A super quality rare piece.
