This classic brass, gold plated with nickel under plating Gillette Tech Razor you are viewing was thoroughly cleaned, plus sanitized.

It`s in excellent working condition. All of the piecesassemble together tightly and evenly.

As to the cosmetics, I rate this one poor to fair. There`s a good bit of wear to the gold plating around the razor. In fact all of the plating is worn off of the center piece which of course includes the blade guards. This leaves behind the brass base metal which actually makes for an outstanding shaving surface.

Included is a new pack of Super-Max brand stainless steel blades.

The Gillette Tech Razor was a popular standard from the late1930s, through the 50s, and into the 60s. They were issued to the armed forcesduring WW II, and were often distributed by the Red Cross. It is generallyconsidered a milder razor, yet it is extremely popular among all sorts ofpresent day, retro wet shavers.

This particular razor is dated between 1946 and 1950. How dowe know? Process of deduction. Techs made before 1946 have triangular slots inthe base plates. This razor does not have these type slots. Date codes forTechs began in 1951. There is no code engraved on this razor.
