Up forsale is an original 50\'s Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman. The set is in excellent condition for its age and hasexquisite brazillian rosewood panels combined with lovely original down filled cushions. The Herman Miller label is still present on thechair and is the round, white label. The overall condition is excellent, with beautiful black cushions. The chair also has round clips as is consistent with pre-71 chairs as well as down filled the cushions are in great shape. The backrests are immaculate, however, the arm rests do show wear (not structurally problematic, as the cushions have been recently conditioned). The seat cushion and ottoman are both in remarkably great shape for their age and and overall, only a couple of light scratches can be found. No tears or rips are present on any of the cushions. The original owner also mentioned to me that the ottoman cushion was replaced decades ago. It matches perfectly and looks excellent with an updated backing.

Wood:

The rosewood shells are in excellent condition. There are no major scratches on the faces that I can see and the finish feels smooth. There is a 1/2 inch veneer piece that was repaired on the ottoman, but it was seemingly well done and color is close.

Shock Mounts:

The shock mounts are in great shape and the chair still holds strong.

Bases and Metal

The aluminum bases are in excellent condition. The feet move nicely, paint is all there, and aluminum looks great.

The buyer may pick up the set, have it shipped by me (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the sale.
