JAMES & RALPH CLEWS - THE BLEAK HILL WORKS, COBRIDGE - STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLANDCIRCA 1813-1827RARE EARLY HAND PAINTED DUTCH DECORATION LIDDED SUGAR BOWL4\" TALL (5 1/2\" WITH LID) X 7 3/4\" LONG X 4 3/4\" WIDEEARLY PIECE WITH UNUSUAL STAMP \"CLEWS\" INTO THE BOTTOM EDGE.THERE IS CRAZING AND BROWN DISCOLORATION. THE BOTTOM HAS SOME HAIRLINE CRACKS.THERE ARE CHIPS AND WEAR MARKS ON THE INSIDE LIP OF BOWL (SEE PHOTOS).STILL, A LOVELY LITTLE OLD PIECE THAT HAS SURVIVED FOR 200 YEARS.
