For those who collect the really early quilts!
This beauty has a wonderful purple and cream (purple is faded to brown) stripe with a tiny floral print. Paired with a tiny calico.
It is hand quilted at 7-8 stitches per inch and has large quilted grid work with squares that measure about 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\"
It is hand bound.
It measures 85\" L x 87\" W with cutouts at the bottom for the poster bed.
Please look at the full photo, you will see she pieced a little differently at the very top.
Really nice condition for the age. There is age spotting and tanning, some of which was too light to photograph, there is also some binding wear and a small amount of light surface wear right next to the binding in one small area, in the same area there is a small repair, and on the back the is light tanning and fold lines and several spots. (See photos.)
