Immortilized by Oscar Wilde in 1898, Reading Gaol more importantly became home to most of the Irish rebels of the 1916 Easter Rebellion who were not executed.In order to keep spirits high, the Easter Rising prisoners, like many before them,kept autograph books containing thoughts,poems and drawings as well as simple signatures from their fellow rebels.This small autograph book, belonging to Republican Eamonn O\'Dwyer, is a wonderful example of one of the surviving autograph albums.
