Plate is 8-1/2” in diameter, signed on front and back (not an autograph - signature reproduced for manufacture),rimmed and accented in 18K gold, backstamped and hand numbered. Plate is new in the original box with theCertificate of Authenticity and plate brochure.

Plate is for decorative purposes only and not to be used with food.

Born in 1917, Miss Hibel grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Brookline High School and the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, where was honored with the Sturtevant Traveling Fellowship to Mexico. “The work of Edna Hibel has been exhibited in prestigious museums and galleries in more than 20 countries on four continents including national museums in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Russia and the U.S.A., and under the royal patronage of Count and Countess Bernadotte of Germany, Count Thor Bonde of Sweden, Prince and the late Princess Rainier of Monaco and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of England. (www.hibel.com, 2007)” She has received the Medal of Honor from Pope John Paul II and Belgian King Baudouin; five honorary Doctorates degrees, and the International Art award. Edna Hibel raises donations for children and medical charities, and has exhibits that aim bring cultural understanding between the U.S. and China, Yugoslavia and Russia (of which a television documentary was made).
