Eight Vintage 1950s Atomic Starburst Sputnik Glasses Tumblers, Great Condition:

It\'s hard to find these glasses alone, so to find eight of them in great vintage condition is really unusual. These were made by the Libbey glass company. In the last two photos you can see the Libbey logo, a cursive script \"L\" in a circle on the bottom of the glasses when you look from the top. This style of logo was introduced in 1955, and in more recent years the circle was dropped. The pattern is of atomic starbursts in gold and silver metallic. There is some loss of the metallic on some of the glasses, but it is very difficult to see because the rolled lip design compensates for the metallic edge. Please mouse in closely on the third photo where we\'ve tried to show a glass with metallic loss next to a glass that has it intact. Each glass holds 10 oz. to the rim, has a 3 1/8\" mouth diameter, and stands 4 1/2\" tall. There is no cloudiness, no chips or cracks. These are wonderfully representative of Mid-Century Modern design and the whole Sputnik era. Each weighs 8.6 oz. I\'ll ship them the cheapest possible way, once I know your address.
