Electroform Sterling Silver Modernist MENORAH Israel Judaica 9.5\" SALVADOR DALI:
$79.99
For sale is a sterling silver menorah. This comes from a local estate. I don\'t really know how old it is, but I don\'t think it\'s much older than 1990s or 1980s. It\'s very very similar to other pieces I\'ve seen from Israel. I believe that the piece is made of a wax or resin casting with heavy silver sheet overlaid. The piece is stamped 925 on one side, and then the front side has a torn label which reads CRAFTSMAN, and you cannot tell what the rest of the label would have said. The menorah is done in a really unusual modernist or naturalist design in sterling with some gold vermeil decoration, and star of David on both sides. I do believe there is quite a bit of silver here, but I don\'t know how much. It would weigh a ton if it was solid sterling, and although it is heavy the weight isn\'t correct for it to be solid. The menorah measures 9 1/2\" tall from base to top. This would be a great addition to any collection!I was notified that this is a reproduction of a Salvador Dali sculpture which resides at the Ben Gurion airport in Israel.
