Offered for the Holiday Season today is this Gorgeous Original Emerson Ebony Plascon plastic \"Compact\" model 5 tube AM radio from 1951. This set has two tiny flaws worth mentioning onthe cabinet.One thin brushlike scratch on the top right as shown and a tiny worn area on the front emblem thats it! Restored to a glass like finish,Exhibitingthe original factory paint on the dial and perfect grill with tractor wheel deco knobs. The Back is all there and fits solid! This is one of my favorite deco Emerson compacts to restore and have not seen one in quite some time in this outstanding original condition,with a gorgeous subtle Illuminated dial facade in the dark and the pointer is perfect and spot on! This radiowasvery well cared for over its long life.

This little set is exhibiting stunning condition for a near 65 year old vintage and plays as good as it looks. This set will display and play in any collectionwith pride. 5tubeac/dc restoredchassis,some minor rust spotting on the inner chassis. Check thecloseupphotos taken under natural light exhibiting the mirror finish! The power cord was replaced with an updated version and safe for use.
